History
Bhagat Companies was founded in 1997, from humble beginnings, Bhagat Companies dominated the hospitality industry in every market entered. To this day, we abide by the principles instilled from the inception of our company. Today the company is led by our talented executive team.

Alex Bhagat, CHA, CLO
Graduating from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University Pamplin School of Business, receiving a bachelor’s in Hospitality & Tourism Management (one of the highest-ranked hospitality schools in the nation). Alex proceeded to attend Georgetown University to receive his Master’s in Real Estate Development (MPRE). Alex also holds a CHA (Certified Hotel Administrator) & CLO (Certified Lodging Owner) from American Hotels and Lodging Association. Alex is the company’s acting Project Manager and plays a vital role in the company’s Investment, Management, and Development divisions. Under Alex’s leadership, Bhagat Companies has gained considerable recognition & a prominent reputation within the industry.

Neil Patel
Neil attended Virginia Commonwealth University’s College of Business while pursuing a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Venture Capitalism. Neil’s investment and management experience extended toward a plethora of properties and asset classes. Under Neil’s executive leadership, Bhagat Companies has gained considerable recognition & a prominent reputation within the industry. Neil has experience managing many different brands in our portfolio, including Best Western hotels, Wyndham Hotels, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, IHG Hotels, Choice Hotels, and Hilton Hotels. Neil was also a voting member of the Best Western Standards Committee. Neil remains exceptionally involved within the hospitality industry and is an ambassador to the Asian American Hotel Owners Association. Neil’s extensive experience in operations management, asset management, construction, and development provides significant oversight and guidance to our team members.

We are heavily experienced and have built long-lasting relations with local government to deliver communities for generations to come. From acquisition, land entitlements, and zoning to building infrastructure and roads, all the way to the final stage of development.
Investment
Bhagat Companies assembles and acquires land, obtains entitlements and approvals, finances, constructs, and manages the leasing and property management through our award-winning management company. We also acquire existing properties in which we create optimal value.
Management
Our management company is fully integrated into our other companies. Unlike other firms, our management team is often involved in the development process to ease management processes within our new construction assets. Our management team’s satisfaction is just as important as our guest satisfaction.
